The Confluence Index™

Five dimensions. One number. The difference between a trade with the wind behind it and a trade that looks right but is not.

Every trade you make is influenced by five forces moving at once. The Confluence Index reads all five and tells you one thing: are they agreeing right now, or are they fighting each other?

How It Works

The Confluence Index is a single 0 to 100 score that measures the degree of agreement or conflict across five independent market dimensions. It is not an average. It is not a weighted composite. It is a convergence reading.

Each dimension operates independently with its own data sources, its own logic, and its own signal. The Index measures whether those independent signals are pointing in the same direction. When they converge, you have a high-probability setup. When they diverge, you have risk you cannot see on a chart.

Think of it as a pre-flight checklist for every trade. Five systems, one go/no-go decision.

The Five Dimensions

Each dimension is an independent lens on the market. Together, they create a complete picture no single indicator can provide.

📐

Price Structure

Is the chart telling you something real? The Structure dimension reads confirmed ABCD pivot patterns, trend alignment, and key support/resistance levels across multiple timeframes. It answers one question: does the price action have a clear, tradeable shape right now or is it noise?

  • Confirmed ABCD pivot detection (non-repainting)
  • Multi-timeframe trend alignment (1D / 210m)
  • Key support and resistance proximity
  • Pattern quality grading (A/B/C)

Macro Credit

The market does not move in a vacuum. Credit conditions create the floor or trapdoor under every trade. This dimension reads live Federal Reserve data and distills it into a single Credit Regime Score so you know whether the macro environment actually supports your thesis.

  • Credit Regime Score powered by FRED
  • Treasury yield curve analysis
  • Investment-grade spread monitoring
  • Real yield environment classification
📰

News Narrative

What story is the market telling itself? Narrative intelligence scans earnings sentiment, sector rotation themes, and breaking catalysts to determine whether the news cycle is confirming, contradicting, or ignoring the trade setup you are looking at. A great chart in a hostile narrative is a trap.

  • Earnings sentiment analysis
  • Sector rotation detection
  • Breaking catalyst monitoring
  • Narrative-price divergence alerts
🌊

Volatility Regime

Not all volatility is created equal. The Regime dimension classifies the current environment using VIX term structure, local COV instability metrics, and FX carry stress. It tells you whether to trade aggressively, cautiously, or not at all.

  • Four-state regime classification
  • VIX term structure analysis
  • Local COV instability metrics
  • FX carry stress integration
🧠

Trader Discipline

The most dangerous variable in any trade is you. The Discipline dimension monitors your behavioral patterns and flags when your psychology is working against your analysis. No other retail platform does this.

  • Six behavioral bias detectors
  • Win/loss streak pattern recognition
  • Position sizing compliance
  • Pre-trade checklist enforcement

Three States. One Decision.

The Confluence Index distills complexity into clarity. At any moment, your trade environment is in one of three states.

CONVERGED

70-100

Multiple dimensions are in agreement. The trade has structural, macro, narrative, regime, and behavioral support. This is when you act with conviction.

FORMING

40-69

Dimensions are starting to align but have not fully agreed yet. Reduce size, tighten stops, or wait for confirmation. The setup is developing, not ready.

FRACTURED

0-39

Dimensions are in active conflict. The chart might look good, but the macro, narrative, or your own psychology is fighting the trade. Stand aside. Capital preservation is the play.

Why This Matters

Most traders lose money not because they cannot read a chart but because they only read the chart. They miss the macro shift underneath. They ignore the narrative headwind. They do not account for their own emotional state after three wins in a row.

The Confluence Index forces you to see the whole field before you commit capital. It does not tell you what to trade. It tells you whether the conditions are right to trade at all.

That distinction between a trade that has multi-dimensional support and a trade that just looks good is the edge that separates disciplined traders from everyone else.
